Luka Modrić makes decision on plans for next season | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Luka Modrić has made a call on his plans for the 2025/26 campaign.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have confirmed that the Croatian veteran is eager to stay put with Real Madrid for another 12 months.

Modrić, for his part, is in the midst of a rich vein of form at present, having racked up three goals and two assists in his last nine appearances across all competitions.

And, evidently, the 39-year-old is of the opinion that he is capable of carrying such excellence into next season, too.

As per a report from AS:

‘At 39 years old, he wants to renew for another season. He is clear about it.’

Modrić’s contract in Spain’s capital is due to come to an end in the summer, after he penned a fresh one-year renewal in 2024.

As of yet, negotiations have not taken place over another deal for the midfield maestro, but the parties are expected to sit down following the season’s conclusion to talk through all options.
