Paris Saint-Germain have a major call to make: Is Gianluigi Donnarumma still their long-term solution in goal? His contract runs through 2026, but time is ticking.

Since joining from AC Milan in 2021, Donnarumma has delivered some big moments—saving penalties against Liverpool and coming up with key stops versus Aston Villa and Arsenal this season.

Still, his time in Paris has also been marked by high-profile mistakes, most notably his costly error against Real Madrid in 2022, which continue to cast doubt over his consistency in high-stakes matches.

PSG are off to the UEFA Champions League final and Donnarumma has played a significant role. The question inside the club will be if this is enough to commit to him long-term.

As for Donnarumma, a return to Serie A could be on the table. He’s unlikely to head back to AC Milan, where the fan base hasn’t forgiven him—but a move to one of their rivals wouldn’t be out of character.

Journalist Alfredo Pedullà reports that Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Juventus all want to sign Donnarumma, who could be on the move this summer if PSG doesn’t extend him.

Juventus have reportedly continued to make inquiries in recent days about Gianluigi Donnarumma, checking to see whether Paris Saint-Germain might be open to a sale or planning to renew the 2021 UEFA Euro winner’s contract.

The club reportedly have no issues with Michele Di Gregorio, but they’re always open to improving key areas of the squad. When a goalkeeper of Donnarumma’s caliber—considered one of the best in the world and arguably the top performer in Europe this season—becomes a possible option, it’s only natural for Juventus to explore it.

Donnarumma is 26 years old and in the prime of his career and could be the No. 1 guy between the posts for the next decade for any club considering how long top-tier goalkeepers can play.
