Manchester United are poised to sign one of Portugal’s best emerging talents, according to A Bola (page 13).

The Red Devils are likely to bolster multiple positions this summer. A new right wing-back could be one of their priorities.

United have reportedly ‘reserved’ a deal for Sporting CP wonderkid Geovany Quenda. Sporting are aiming to secure €60 million from his transfer.

Amorim eyeing a reunion with Quenda

The 17-year-old made his senior debut under Ruben Amorim at the start of this season.

He stood out with his performances as a right wing-back but has had a positional change after Amorim’s move to Old Trafford.

The teenager has played as a left winger under new manager Rui Borges over recent months.

His versatility and huge potential make him an ideal signing for United, but the club may be unwilling to pay Sporting’s asking price.

United are planning an opening bid worth €30m. A deal may not be straightforward, but a middle ground could be reached for a package of around €45m, including add-ons.

His arrival could pave the way for Antony’s permanent exit. He is on a short-term loan with Real Betis until the summer.

The Brazilian has found his feet with the La Liga outfit. United could capitalise on his glowing form to recoup a reasonable transfer fee.
