As a team the Eagles produced some mature performances, but Omar Marmoush in particular stood out by contributing directly to seven of the side’s eight goals.

As a result, the Egypt international won the vote for the Bundesliga’s Player of the Month award, becoming the second Eintracht player to take a prize in September after Kaua Santos was named Rookie of the Month.

Marmoush scored braces against both Wolfsburg and Kiel, while he also netted Eintracht’s second in the 2-0 home win over Gladbach. The 25-year-old’s tally of five goals in September was more than any other Bundesliga player across the month.

The striker finished ahead of Harry Kane, Michael Olise (both Bayern Munich), Florian Wirtz (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Maximilian Mittelstädt (VfB Stuttgart) and Vincenzo Grifo (SC Freiburg) to win the vote.
