OH Leuven have announced the departure of Hamza Mendyl (27) to Aris FC. The left-back leaves after two-and-a-half seasons at the Den Dreef stadium.
The Moroccan international Mendyl has signed a contract in Thessaloniki for one-and-a-half seasons, with an option for an additional year.

OH Leuven initially signed Mendyl from Schalke 04 in the summer of 2022. The attacking left wing-back immediately became a regular starter and would eventually play 71 official matches, in which he scored three times and provided nine assists.
This season he made fourteen more appearances. His contract expired at the end of the season. Earlier in his career, the twenty-time Moroccan international played for French teams Lille and Dijon and Turkish Gaziantep.
