Tanganga received the player of the year award for his performances this season, having joined the Lions on a permanent basis last summer.

The 26-year-old played 40 times in the Championship, even contributing two goals, as the team finished eighth in the table.

Tanganga issued a message to supporters on social media to acknowledge his strong campaign with Millwall.

He thanked the fans for their support throughout the term, with Alex Neil’s side missing out on a top six finish by just two points.

“And that’s a wrap!” wrote Tanganga, via Instagram.

“Thank you for the support throughout and see you guys soon.

“Not my doing but His.”

Ivanovic shared his support for the defender with his response, praising his impact in the team with just one word.

“Wall,” replied the forward.

Ivanovic also joined Millwall on a permanent basis last summer, scoring 12 times from 37 appearances in his first Championship campaign.

Millwall league position

Millwall finished eighth in the Championship table, with a 3-1 loss to Burnley on the final day of the season costing them a chance at a top six finish.

The Lions had won five of their previous six prior to the trip to Turf Moor, giving them a shot at a play-off place, but they ultimately came up short by just two points.

Neil will now be focusing his attention on the summer transfer window, where he will be hoping the club can make more signings with the impact of Tanganga and Ivanovic.

The new season of the Championship won’t start until 8 August.
