Strahinja Pavlovic’s time at AC Milan risks being a very short one as talks are continuing over a potential sale to Fenerbahce, it is claimed.
Pavlovic only joined Milan over the summer from Red Bull Salzburg, but rumours about a departure after half a season are gaining momentum. Paradoxically he is expected to start against Girona tomorrow due to absences, but generally has struggled for game time.
According to what is being reported by Matteo Moretto of Relevo, contacts between Fenerbahçe and Milan for Pavlović began four days ago and will continue after the Champions League match between Milan and Girona.
The Serbian defender spoke with his compatriot Dušan Tadić, who plays under Jose Mourinho for the Istanbul club. The Turkish side are ‘ready to make a major effort to sign him’ this month, the journalist adds.
It is worth mentioning that La Gazzetta dello Sport speak of an offer of €20m plus bonuses being made by Fenerbahce for Pavlovic, which would actually allow the Rossoneri to make a small capital gain on the €18m they spent.
Sergio Conceicao will entrust the 23-year-old given Fikayo Tomori is suspended and Malick Thiaw is injured, but it could really be a farewell appearance for him.
