‘Napoli ready to close De Bruyne deal any moment’ as Juventus loom | OneFootball

Multiple reports confirm Napoli made an important contract proposal to Kevin de Bruyne, but according to Matteo Moretto, Juventus have also inquired about the Belgian star.

Napoli seems to be the club leading the race for De Bruyne, as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports the latest updates on the deal.

Romano said De Bruyne would pick his next club soon.

“Napoli have made an important contract proposal to KDB — and they’d be ready to close the deal any moment from now,” the Italian transfer expert added on X.

De Bruyne’s contract with Manchester City runs out in June, so he’s available on a free transfer for 2025-26.

According to Romano, the Manchester City legend has also received an offer from Chicago Fire in the MLS.

Another club showing interest in De Bruyne is Juventus, although the Bianconeri are not in advanced talks with the 33-year-old, contrary to their domestic rivals Napoli.

According to Matteo Moretto, the Bianconeri have contacted the player’s entourage to inquire about his transfer situation.

“I have not had any offer the whole year, they [Man City] just took a decision,” De Bruyne said last month, via BBC.

“Obviously, I was a bit surprised but I just have to accept it. Honestly, I still think I can perform at this level like I’m showing, but I understand clubs have to make decisions.

“I feel like I still have a lot to give. Obviously I know I’m not 25 any more but I still feel like I can do my job.

“I’m open for anything. I have to look at the whole picture. I’m looking at sporting, family, everything together, what makes the most sense for me and my family.

“I like to play football. I like to compete. That’s what I feel, so I can’t say that I want to quit because I still feel that whenever I’m in training I want to beat the guys.”
