Lee Carsley has named his latest England Under 21s squad on Friday afternoon.
This is a young England training squad get together ahead of the Under 21s Euros Finals in Slovakia next month.
A lot of water under the bridge since summer 2023, when Lee Carsley led the Under 21s success.
Anthony Gordon (pictured above with Lee Carsley) was named player of the tournament when England Under 21s won those Euros, now one of his teammates has the chance to do the same.
Tino Livramento named in this latest Lee Carsley squad.
There are 16 countries who have qualified for these Under 21s Euros Finals and England find themselves in Group B, the tournament runs from 11 June to 28 June.
The winners and runners-up from each of the four groups goes through to the knockout quarter-finals.
The England Under 21s group fixtures at this summer’s Euro finals are:
12 June 2025 – England v Czech Republic
15 June 2025 – England v Slovenia
18 June 2025 – England v Germany
Earlier today, Thomas Tuchel explained to the media why the likes of Tino Livramento and others hadn’t been included in his June 2025 senior England squad.
“[Adam Wharton] Together with Livramento, Quansah, Delap who could come with us, there’s a major tournament coming up (Under 21s Euros) and I like the idea a lot that they become leaders in that group.”
Anthony Gordon followed up that 2023 Euros triumph with an outstanding league season, named Newcastle United player of the year.
Other young England players who helped lift that 2023 Euro Under 21s trophy, include the likes of Cole Palmer, James Trafford and Morgan Gibbs-White.

‘An England men’s under-21s pre-EURO training squad has been named by head coach Lee Carsley.
The Young Lions head to Slovakia in June to defend the UEFA U21 EURO title, which they won in 2023, and will begin their preparations for the tournament with a training camp at St. George’s Park.
The group will meet up at the national football centre for training before Carsley names his final squad of 23 players for the EUROs on Friday 6 June.
The EUROs kicks-off for England when they play their first group game against Czechia on Thursday 12 June (8pm BST) at the Mol Arena before they tackle Slovenia three days later on Sunday 15 June (5pm BST).
Their final group game against Germany takes place on Wednesday 18 June (8pm BST) at the Stadion Pod Zoborom, before the competition heads into the knockout phase with the top two teams from both groups progressing to the quarter-finals.
