Gunners have chance to put pressure on Premier League title rivals
Arsenal head to Newcastle on Saturday with the chance to put pressure on their Premier League title rivals.
The Gunners ensured Liverpool could not open up a sizeable gap on them by securing a 2-2 draw on Sunday, though will no doubt have been disappointed not to have won after twice taking the lead.
Still, three points for Mikel Arteta’s side at St James’ Park would see them move within one point of the Reds as well as two off current leaders Manchester City and they warmed up for the journey with a 3-0 victory at Preston in the Carabao Cup.
Hosts Newcastle are a formidable opponent at home but have endured a difficult start to the season and last week lost 2-1 to Chelsea before getting their revenge against the Blues in a 2-0 Carabao Cup victory on Wednesday night.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
Newcastle United vs Arsenal is scheduled for a 12.30pm GMT kick-off time on Saturday 2 November, 2024.
St James’ Park in Newcastle will host.
TV channel: The game will be broadcast on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate.

Anthony Gordon returned for Newcastle on Wednesday after missing Sunday’s game and is available once more. Callum Wilson, Kieran Trippier, Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles are all out.
The Gunners, meanwhile, will need to assess Gabriel and Ben White after they missed the win at Deepdale. Martin Odegaard is closing in on a return, though Riccardo Calafiori is out.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney also won’t be fit.
St James’ can be a fortress at its best but Newcastle have been turgid for much of the season thus far. Arsenal will fancy their chances.
