Eddie Howe will hope to have forward options bolstered
Newcastle appear increasingly likely to have key striker Alexander Isak fit to face Brighton this afternoon.
The forward, a favourite amongst Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players, has missed the last three games after breaking his toe.
Isak has scored only once in the Premier League thus far this term but has been hailed by Seagulls boss Fabian Hurzeler ahead of their trip to St James’ Park.
Toon boss Eddie Howe has confirmed the 25-year-old has trained this week and is in contention for the game on Tyneside.

Kieran Trippier, however, is out and adds to Howe’s mounting injury list at St James’ Park.
Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles are long-term absentees, while Lewis Miley is yet to play any part this season. Martin Dubravka should be involved, but it remains to be seen if Callum Wilson will be fit enough to return alongside fellow striker Isak.
Predicted Newcastle XI: Pope; Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall; Guimaraes, Joelinton, Longstaff; Murphy, Isak, Gordon
Doubt: Wilson
Injured: Botman, Trippier, Lascelles, Miley
Time and date: 3pm BST on Saturday October 19, 2024
Venue: St James’ Park
