Nottingham Forest beat Burnley 1-0 to secure an Adobe Women’s FA Cup 4th Round tie away to Championship side Newcastle United on Sunday.
Charlie Wellings made the breakthrough nine minutes into extra time, finding the bottom corner when the rebound from Galloway’s header against the woodwork came her way.
Melissa Johnson had the ball in the net for Forest three minutes from the end of the 90 but the flag was raised for offside.
Forest keeper Emily Batty earlier made a couple of fine stops to deny Claudia Walker and Heidi Logan, the latter having got through one on one.
Kirstie Levell had previously kept the hosts at bay, denying Wellings before the flag was raised anyway and also thwarting an attempt by Freya Thomas.
