Official: Barcelona transfer target joins Bayern Munich | OneFootball

A player long linked with a move to La Liga with Barcelona has on Thursday put pen to paper on terms with another of the continent’s leading clubs.

The player in question? Jonathan Tah.

The name of stopper Tah has of course proven an altogether prominent one in the headlines surrounding Barcelona for several months now.

This comes after the Bayer Leverkusen star, ahead of the expiration of his contract at the BayArena, opened negotiations with the Camp Nou brass over a summer free agent switch.

At one point, it was even reported that an agreement between the parties was all but in place.

Recent weeks, however, saw claims begin to mount that Tah, amid a lack of progress towards his Barca switch being made official, was growing impatient.

And as alluded to above, on Thursday, as much has culminated in the German international taking his talents elsewhere.

As confirmed by way of a statement across the club’s social media channels this morning, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have secured Tah’s services through the summer of 2029.
