Lille have allowed Aaron Malouda (19) – the son of former Chelsea winger and France international Florent Malouda – to join third-tier side Nîmes Olympique on loan, both clubs have announced. Malouda will spend the remainder of the 2024-2025 season with the Gard side. The Stade Rennais Academy graduate signed his first professional contract at Lille eighteen months ago. The left-sided winger featured three times last campaign with Paulo Fonseca’s first team set-up.

Despite Lille’s involvement in three different competitions with Ligue 1, Coupe de France and the Champions League, Malouda’s playing time with the first team did not increase. He made his first appearance of the campaign during Lille’s 2-1 away loss to Strasbourg on January 25. As to not hamper his development, Les Dogues have sent Malouda on loan to Nîmes, the 15th-placed National 1 time.
