Official: Real Madrid name squad to face Atlético | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday afternoon unveiled the club’s matchday squad for their upcoming showdown with city rivals Atlético.

The latest edition of the Madrid Derby is of course set to play out later this evening.

As much will come on the continent, in the 2nd leg of the Champions League Last-16 tie between the two clubs.

As things stand, it is Real Madrid who boast a slender advantage, owing to a hard-fought 2-1 victory in the tie’s opener at the Santiago Bernabéu last week.

It should nevertheless come as little surprise, though, to hear of Carlo Ancelotti calling upon an altogether strong squad of players to face Atlético.

The headline inclusion for Los Blancos comes in the attacking third, where Kylian Mbappé has been deemed well enough to make the trip to the Wanda Metropolitano after sitting out group training on Tuesday.
