Real Madrid can reclaim the top spot in the La Liga table tonight when they lock horns with Real Betis away at Estadio Benito Villamarin.
Currently in the second place behind Barcelona, albeit only on goal difference, a win will see Real Madrid open a three-point lead over their rivals who play Real Sociedad on Sunday evening.
Ahead of kickoff against Manuel Pellegrini’s men, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has announced the starting lineup with several changes to the team that took the field in the cup tie against Real Sociedad earlier in the week.
Kylian Mbappe is back in the team, after missing the Copa del Rey clash due to dental problems.
The French superstar replaces Endrick in attack and will be partnered by Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes, who comes in for Arda Guler.
With no Jude Bellingham, Dani Ceballos, and Federico Valverde, the Real Madrid midfield unit comprises of Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Brahim Diaz/Eduardo Camavinga.
At the back, Lucas Vazquez returns at right-back while David Alaba makes his second start of the season. He is partnered by Antonio Rudiger while Ferland Mendy also comes back in the side, at the expense of Fran Garcia at left-back.
Thibaut Courtois reclaims his starting spot in goal after being rested against Sociedad.
