An insight into how La Liga giants Barcelona could line out in the case of landing Luis Díaz from Liverpool this summer has been provided.
And the news will likely come a source of concern for one Blaugrana star in particular…
Wide-man Díaz has of course been hotly tipped for a move to Catalunya’s capital this summer.
Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements out wide for next season, Deco and the transfer team at the Camp Nou are understood to have earmarked the Colombian as their no.1 target.
Many of a Barcelona persuasion have since made clear their surprise with as much, with the club’s current first-choice left winger, in Raphinha, in the midst of nothing short of a historic campaign.
As alluded to above, though, late this week, an insight into the thought process behind the move has been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and confirms that, in the case of Díaz being signed, the former Porto man would indeed take his place on the left wing.
To make room for as much, Raphinha would then be shifted inside to a no.10 berth, a role which the Brazilian has shown promise in in the past.
These changes would make for a frontline of Díaz, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski.
The player set to make way, meanwhile, would be Dani Olmo, whose starting status for Barca next season appears to be under serious threat.
