Manchester United fans have been alerted over ‘one to watch’ in the Premier League this season – as the club may just pursue him when the summer window opens.

The player in question is in-form Bournemouth talisman Antoine Semenyo, who’s enjoying his most prolific campaign to date after notching seven goals and four assists in 28 games thus far. Across his three seasons in the top flight, he’s now recorded 16 goals and six assists in total.

Reinforcements in attack will be vital for Ruben Amorim come the end of the season. Not only are the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho struggling to maintain consistent goalscoring form but United are poised to sanction the exits of both Jadon Sancho to Chelsea and Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa for £25 million and £40m, respectively. The former’s terms include an obligation to buy while the latter’s is only an option.

As such, acquiring a Premier League-proven talent is imperative for INEOS. Too often have United forked out millions for signings outside of England only for them to fail to adapt to the demands of the division, eventually looking like a complete waste of money. Antony, in particular, comes to mind.

Semenyo is only 25 years old and, therefore, still has so much more to improve in his game. He’s scored or assisted this campaign against the likes of Manchester City, United, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest – so you already know he won’t go missing the stakes are high.

The Reds’ interest has been relayed by journalist Dylan McBennett, with AreaNapoli previously claiming the Ghanian would cost around £33.6m. Whether or not the Cherries would be able to keep hold of their star attacker remains to be seen, as Andoni Iraola will be anticipating approaches for several key standout performers, including Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen.
