Swansea City edged Cardiff City 1-0 in the south Wales derby to leapfrog them in the Genero Adran Leagues Premier table.

Aberystwyth Town 1-3 Wrexham (Att: 121) Cardiff Met 1-5 Barry Town United The New Saints 1-1 Briton Ferry Llansawel (Att: 143) Swansea City 1-0 Cardiff City (Att: 2,225)

The Swans went second and level on points with the leaders, after Stacey John-Davis pounced on a defensive error to give the hosts victory at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Briton Ferry Llansawel’s lead is down to just goal-difference after they had Courtney Young sent off on the hour mark and shared the points at The New Saints. Alison Witts have given them the lead but Molly Havard equalised before the break.

Barry joined fourth-place TNS on seven points with a 5-1 win at Cardiff Met. Erin Murray, Amy Long, Ellie Preece, Keira Harris and Emily Freeman all found the net, with the Archers getting a late consolation.

Wrexham claimed their first points of the season with a 3-1 result at Aberystwyth, who remain bottom on goal-difference. A Libby Isaac own-goal and Amber Lightfoot effort had Wrexham two up, Imogen Scourfield pulled one back but substitute Carra Jones quickly sealed the away win.

Adran North

Bangor 1-1 Rhyl (Att: 41) Connah’s Quay Nomads 6-0 Llanfair United (Att: 51) Llandudno 6-1 Flint Town United (Att: 67) NFA 1-3 Felinheli (Att: 40)

Llandudno hit Flint for six to make it back-to-back wins at the start of the campaign. Ella Jones’ four-goal haul featured a first-half hat-trick.

Connah’s Quay Nomads also netted half-a-dozen in their opening match against Llanfair, Polly Wild-McGregor scoring half of them and also seeing her penalty saved.

A winning beginning too for Felinheli, 3-1 at NFA. Rubie Davies’ early opener was cancelled out by Claire Smedley, before Ellie Jones converted a penalty and Llywela Edwards wrapped up the points,

Bangor have drawn both their games to date, held 1-1 by Rhyl as the visitors got off the mark. Ashleigh Jones struck first for the hosts, Sade Benjamin replying by the interval.

Adran South

Cwmbran Celtic 4-2 Cascade (Att: 52) Pontypridd United 5-1 Caldicot Town Swansea University 6-2 Llanelli Town

Pontypridd’s 5-1 defeat of Caldicot kept them top with two wins from two. United scored three times in 16 first-half minutes through Sophie McMullen, Nicola Fenton and Lauren Payne, China Cooper-Jones pulled one back but Faye Marshall made it 4-1 before McMullen scored her second.

Cwmbran have now won the first two games as well, sending Cascade home beaten 4-2 after Katie Williams’ second-half brace. Celtic’s Olivia  Townsend scored first, Lauren Boyd and Fiona Anthony turned the match around for the visitors but Ellis Lunn equalised close to half time.

Swansea University responded to an opening day loss by beating Llanelli 6-2. Doubles by Hannah Pinney and Charley Haynes helped the students into a commanding lead, Town’s Bryanna Demery responded with a late brace of her own.
