Our Premier League Awards honour the best – and worst – of the weekend’s action, featuring Jamie Vardy, Goodison Park and Jarrod Bowen.
There’s not been much for Leicester fans to cheer this season but their season will end on a positive note.
The Foxes fans were out in force to celebrate Jamie Vardy this weekend, as the Leicester legend made his final appearance for the club. It was a fitting farewell to a man the club have dubbed the ‘GOAT’ since news of his exit, with three points and a milestone goal.
On his 500th and final game for Leicester, Vardy scored his 200th goal for the club. Incredibly, the occasion was also the 13th anniversary of the date he signed for Leicester.
A fairytale finish for the Foxes favourite.
There was another emotional goodbye at Everton this weekend as the Toffees took to the Goodison Park pitch for the last time.
Everton will move to their new home at Bramley-Moore Dock next season, ending a 133-year residence as their famous old ground. David Moyes’s side also ensured the perfect send-off with a 2-0 win over Southampton.
Iliman Ndiaye was the hero of the hour, scoring both goals to etch his name into Everton history – and perhaps pub trivia – forevermore. The Senegal midfielder has been a bright spark in an up-and-down season for Everton, with this his latest eye-catching display.
✨🇸🇳–
It took just six minutes for Ndiaye to open the scoring with a surging run and sharp finish, before fancy footwork took him around Aaron Ramsdale to score a second in first-half stoppage time.
The 25-year-old now has 11 goals in an encouraging first season at Everton.
Jarrod Bowen has been the silver lining of a season to forget for West Ham.
The Hammers captain gave the London Stadium one last moment in 2024/25, with a lovely consolation goal in the club’s defeat to Nottingham Forest. The touch and technique were outstanding.
Goodbye, Goodison Park.
Hello, The Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It’s not got quite the same ring, has it?
The Reds were not letting Arne Slot get away with his Ibiza antics this week…
