This is how the Premier League form table looks on Saturday morning.
The weekend matches having kicked off last night with Brighton 3 Chelsea 0.
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United side playing away at Manchester City this afternoon.
Can Eddie Howe’s side make it thirteen wins from their last fifteen games (all competitions)?
Here is the updated Premier League form table on the morning of Saturday 15 February, which covers the past six matches for all teams:
The last six PL results for Newcastle United with very latest one listed first:
Newcastle 1 Fulham 2
Southampton 1 Newcastle 3
Newcastle 1 Bournemouth 4
Spurs 1 Newcastle 2
As you can see, Newcastle United now sixth in this newly updated Premier League form table.
NUFC with twelve points from four wins, no draws and two defeats, with twelve goals scored and eight conceded.
As for Newcastle’s opponents on Saturday, these are the last six PL matches that Manchester City have played, the very most recent listed first:
Arsenal 5 Man City 1
Man City 3 Chelsea 1
Ipswich 0 Man City 6
Brentford 2 Man City 2
Man City 4 West Ham 1
Leicester 0 Man City 2
So Manchester City second in the Premier League form table with thirteen points from four wins, one draw and one defeat, scoring eighteen and conceding nine.
This is how the full Premier League table currently now looks on Saturday 15 February 2025:
As you can see, Manchester City fifth in the full Premier League table, one place higher than Newcastle United, but only ahead on goals scored.
If we extend the Premier League form table by three matches, it becomes:
Newcastle United: Played 9 Won 7 Drawn 0 Lost 2 Goals Scored 23 Goals Conceded 8 (21 points collected)
Manchester City: Played 9 Won 4 Drawn 2 Lost 3 Goals Scored 21 Goals Conceded 14 (14 points collected)
I think that what all the above tells us (and results in other competitions as well, for both Man City and Newcastle United), is that Eddie Howe’s side have been in great form and winning 12 of the last 14 clearly proves that. However, claims of Man City’s demise a little premature, still a very good side, although more vulnerable now.
A massive match at the Etihad this afternoon.
