We’re only at gameweek seven, but the 2024-25 Premier League is preparing for another international break.

Before that, though, we have a feast of fixtures. Liverpool go into the weekend top of the table and will be hoping to lead the way into the international break. They travel to face Crystal Palace in the weekend’s opener.

Manchester City and Arsenal are also involved on Saturday, hoping to capitalise on any dropped points. Sunday sees three games including Manchester United travelling to face Aston Villa. The final game of the weekend has Brighton hosting Tottenham Hotspur.

We’ve looked at all 10 matches from gameweek three and offered our predicted scores.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

Life under Arne Slot is going pretty well for Liverpool. The Dutchman has won eight of his first nine games as Liverpool manager across all competitions, the man to achieve that feat with the Reds. It sees them top of the Premier League, one point clear of Manchester City and Arsenal. Liverpool are also perfect away from home in the league with three wins from three, keeping two clean sheets.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Liverpool (7/1 with Paddy Power)

Arsenal are one of two teams still unbeaten in the Premier League after six games. They’ve won four and drawn two, including their 2-2 draw with Man City. And it doesn’t look like they’ll taste defeat this weekend. They face a Southampton side still awaiting their first win, currently in the relegation zone with just one point.

Brentford vs Wolves

Wolves are winless in the Premier League this season and sit bottom of the table with just one point from six games. It has been a tough start to the campaign for Gary O’Neil’s side though, with their four of their matches coming against last season’s top six. Brentford have also struggled to impress of late, scoring within the first minute in each of their past three games, but failing to win any of them.

Leicester vs Bournemouth

If it weren’t for VAR, Bournemouth would be eighth in the Premier League with 10 points from six games. Instead, they sit 11th with eight points, winning two, drawing two and losing two. The Cherries recently ended a two-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over Southampton. But they face a Leicester City side proving tough to beat. Although they have lost three games, Leicester have also drawn three, including two at the King Power Stadium.

Man City vs Fulham

After going perfect in their first four Premier League games, Man City are now winless in two. The defending Premier League champions have drawn their past two matches against Arsenal and Newcastle United respectively. It’s seen them drop from top spot, now sitting one point behind Liverpool. But Pep Guardiola has a perfect record against Marco Silva, winning all of his 13 matchups so far. Fulham are unbeaten in five, though…

Prediction: Man City 3-1 Fulham (21/2 with SBK)

West Ham vs Ipswich

This is a battle between two sides struggling for form in the Premier League this season. West Ham have managed one win from their opening six games, but are winless in their past four. Ipswich, meanwhile, are yet to win. But after losing their opening two matches against Liverpool and Man City, the Tractor boys have drawn four in a row.

Everton vs Newcastle

Everton got their first league win of the season last time out and will be hoping to build on that. But they face a Newcastle side buoyed by their hard-fought draw against Man City. This game also sees the return to Goodison Park of Anthony Gordon, who has been directly involved in 13 goals in 23 Premier League games in 2024. And Newcastle have won five of their last eight games against Everton, losing twice.

Aston Villa vs Man United

These two clubs experienced very different emotions in the Champions League in midweek. While Aston Villa had the elation of beating Bayern Munich at Villa Park, Man United lost a two-goal lead and then had to fight to draw 3-3 with Porto. In the Premier League, Aston Villa have won four of their opening six games, scoring in five matches. But they have also kept just one league clean sheet this season.

Prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Man United (15/2 with Sky Bet)

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

Last weekend was one for firsts in the Premier League. Chelsea got their first home league win of the season, while Nottingham Forest lost for the first time. The Blues have now won four of their past five league matches, including three consecutive wins. They’ve also won their past three games across all competitions, beating Barrow in the EFL Cup, Brighton in the league and Gent in the Conference League. But Nottingham Forest are a bit of a bogey team. Chelsea have won just one of their past four league games against Forest.

Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Nottingham Forest (7/1 with BetUK)

Brighton vs Tottenham

Brighton tasted defeat in the league for the first time under Fabian Hurzeler last weekend, but they continued their decent record in front of goal. The Seagulls have now scored at least two goals in four of their six Premier League games this season. After their wobble, Tottenham have been good scorers too, with three goals in each of their past two matches. That’s coincided with back-to-back wins for Tottenham after two consecutive defeats. Brighton are also winless in four, though three of those were draws.
