The summer of 2025 is going to be an important one for Real Madrid. There will be much consolidation within the team and it won’t be surprising to see many players leaving the club.

To that end, one of the players who has been frequently linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu is Rodrygo.

Earlier in the season, Rodrygo’s future was subject of much debate as it was thought that he could struggle following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.

Things have improved since, with Rodrygo’s form also significantly getting better in recent weeks. However, one of the top clubs in Europe are weighing up a move for the Brazilian next summer.

PSG eye move for Rodrygo

Indeed, a recent report from RMC Sport (h/t Mundo Deportivo) suggests PSG are eyeing a move for Rodrygo next summer.

The Real Madrid forward has become the club’s transfer priority for the summer of 2025, as coach Luis Enrique looks to shore up his options going forward.

Rodrygo’s current deal at Real Madrid does not expire until 2028 while the player has a €1 billion release clause embedded in his contract.

PSG are obviously not looking to meet the forward’s release clause, but they are open to paying up to €100 million for the Brazilian international.

That said, the French giants are aware of the fact that Real Madrid will make things as difficult as possible, especially considering the fact that relationship between the two clubs are at all time low.

At the same time, though, Real Madrid may have a battle on their hands as they look to keep hold of Rodrygo, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool as a potential replacement for Mo Salah.
