Between the evening of Thursday 14 November and the early hours of the morning in Italy, four Rossoneri players took to the pitch for their respective national teams. Pulisic and Musah both started as the United States recorded a 1-0 first-leg victory away to Jamaica in the quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Nations League. Chris provided the assist for the winning goal scored by Pepi with five minutes on the clock: the Rossoneri man burst forward through the middle before playing in his teammate, who shot across the goalkeeper and into the net via the post. Yunus also produced a positive display down the right flank.

Meanwhile, a France side containing Maignan and Hernández were held to a goalless draw by Israel at the Stade de France on matchday 5 in League A Group 2 of the Nations League. Both players played for the entire match, during which Mike was untroubled and Theo was purposeful in his play. Les Bleus now trail Italy, who won 1-0 away to Belgium, by three points ahead of the clash between the sides on Sunday. Samuel Chukwueze didn’t feature in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw away to Benin in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.
