After a failed January bid, QPR are expected to return for the forward, who has impressed in the Allsvenskan.
Queens Park Rangers are expected to reignite their interest in Swedish forward Noel Milleskog this summer after failing to secure his signature in the last transfer window.
According to Swedish outlet Fotboll Direkt, QPR made an approach for the IK Sirius attacker but were turned away, with the Swedish club only willing to consider offers in the region of £2.2m.
Milleskog, 22, has been attracting attention from clubs across Europe, including Swansea City and FC Twente.
His performances in the Allsvenskan over the past year - where he has scored nine goals and registered four assists - have positioned him as a promising young talent.
With his contract running until December 2028, IK Sirius hold a strong negotiating position, but QPR are expected to return with an improved offer when the summer transfer window opens.
QPR’s struggles in front of goal this season have made attacking reinforcements a priority.
Marti Cifuentes’ side lost both Lyndon Dykes and Sinclair Armstrong last summer, replacing them with Slovenian forward Zan Celar.
However, Celar has struggled to adapt to English football, managing just two goals in 19 appearances before suffering an injury in December.
The current strike force includes veteran Michael Frey, who has netted six times in 21 appearances, and 20-year-old Rayan Kolli, who is still being eased into first-team football but has shown promise with four goals and two assists.
Milleskog’s versatility as a forward would make him a valuable addition.
Primarily left-footed, he is capable of playing in various attacking roles, providing flexibility that QPR have lacked this season.
His movement off the ball and finishing ability could offer the attacking spark Cifuentes’ side needs to compete in the Championship.
With IK Sirius standing firm on their valuation of Milleskog, QPR will need to decide whether they are willing to meet the Swedish club’s demands.
Given the club’s need for attacking reinforcements and Milleskog’s potential to develop into a key player, a renewed pursuit in the summer seems likely.
The forward's ability to operate in multiple attacking roles makes him an ideal fit for QPR’s evolving system under Cifuentes.
However, QPR are not the only club keeping tabs on Milleskog. Swansea City and FC Twente also expressed interest in the Swedish forward in the January window.
Swansea, known for their pursuit of possession-based football, saw Milleskog as a potential asset to bolster their frontline, while Twente, currently competing for European places in the Eredivisie, were keen on adding him to their attacking ranks.
Their failure to complete a deal in January does not necessarily mean they will abandon their pursuit, meaning QPR could face stiff competition when the summer window opens.
As QPR assess their transfer strategy, the pursuit of Milleskog will be one to watch in the coming months.
If the club can strike a deal, they could secure a player capable of making a significant impact in the Championship next season.
