Sebastian Kehl (in the mixed zone): "We made a very bad start to the game and had a lot of luck in the first 20, 25 minutes. We did not stick to what we had set out to do. We switched it around a bit after that and were more in the game. We were significantly inferior in all respects in the second period, but we ourselves played a part in the deserved margin of defeat with moments of switch-play and with losses of possession. One cannot make so many mistakes against Barcelona. It was clear that they would punish us ruthlessly for that."

Niko Kovac (to DAZN): "We lost clearly and deservedly. I think that we did pretty well for 20 minutes of the first half after it went to 1-0. After that, there was a lot of disjointedness again or we didn't have any composure in our play and punished ourselves. We conceded a goal from a set-piece and three from counter-attacks. Three goals on the counter-attack is definitely too many. You can lose possession, that's part and parcel of it, but you then have to make the right decisions. Those are small details that are punished at this high level. We had two situations in the first half with Serhou (editor's note: Guirassy) where we should have at least gotten the ball on target. I would have liked us to score a goal ourselves."

Emre Can (to DAZN): "We did not have a good game, were too soft in the challenges and not cohesive enough in defence. On top of that, we made simple errors that are punished extremely harshly at this level. That's why we capitulated here. We definitely have to play better football at this level. We unfortunately did not manage to keep the ball. Barcelona were on a different level. It's not a question of system, but it's a question of whether everyone is ready to give 100%, also to cross a pain barrier."

Gregor Kobel (to DAZN): "We gave away too much. It wasn't necessary to concede four goals. On the other hand, we didn't take our chances, although we weren't in the game much. That makes it a super annoying result. We didn't manage to find the spaces behind the defence and conceded goals too easily."

Waldemar Anton (in the mixed zone): "After the goal for 1-0, we were quite in the game and had a few chances to score. You have to take them and be clinical in matches like this. In the end, the score is too high. We were too open and made overly simple mistakes that were then punished ruthlessly. You then have to try somehow to make sure it ends as well as possible, not too high a score.
