Barring the second half against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid have seldom looked convincing this season.
Most of Los Blancos’ wins have come against the run of play with moments of individual brilliance, and that was simply not enough against Barcelona last weekend in El Clasico.
The past week has been rough on the club, from the 0-4 defeat against Hansi Flick’s side to the disaster in the Ballon d’Or Gala where Vinicius Jr was denied the award.
According to reports from AS, however, the events over the past seven days have only gone on to trigger the dressing room in a positive way and the players are now fired up.
As relayed by the Spanish outlet, the Madrid dressing room is riled up after the unfortunate week and have come back with a sense of togetherness that was lost in recent weeks.

With blood in their eyes, they approach their next game which is against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League and are determined to stamp their authority on the season with a positive performance against the Italian giants.
Every player wishes to prove a point on the night and stake claim on a place in the starting lineup for the revamped version of Carlo Ancelotti’s setup that will turn up next week.
With the team’s game against Valencia cancelled after the flash floods, the men in white enjoy a longer vacation before their next game and the management are utilising the same to take the team through a mini-pre-season once more.
Once the players have caught up with speed and are back in their rhythm, they hope the situation can be comfortably turned around.
