Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni has picked up a suspension on the international front.

As much comes owing to his latest endeavours whilst lining out for France on Monday.

Didier Deschamps’ troops were back in action last night, locking horns with Belgium in a high-profile Nations League matchup.

Tchouaméni, meanwhile, featured from the off, also afforded the honour of France’s captain’s armband for the 2nd game in succession.

En route to an eventual 2-1 triumph for Les Bleus, however, the Real Madrid man was given his marching orders late on for a 2nd bookable offence – a clumsy challenge on Youri Tielemans.

Whilst a blow for his country, as much will likely actually mark something of a source of relief for Carlo Ancelotti and the coaching staff back in Spain’s capital.

This comes with Tchouaméni set to be suspended for France’s next fixture, against Israel on November 14th.

It therefore looks a strong possibility that the 24-year-old will be omitted from Les Bleus’ squad, in the process affording him some much-needed rest after a hectic start to the new campaign.
