Over the past few months there have been murmurs about Jesus Fortea being unhappy at Real Madrid over the lack of opportunities coming his way.
The 17-year-old is a part of the Juvenil A setup under Alvaro Arbeloa but expected to break into the Castilla team this season which has not happened.
While he trained with the senior team following the injuries to Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao, Fortea has not earned a call-up to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad while fellow youngsters like Daniel Yanez and Diego Aguado have broken into the first team.
It has led to speculations about the defensive prodigy’s future. After all, his contract with the Spanish capital club stands to expire in 2026, with the player refusing to ink a new deal for now.
Now, Matteo Moretto has come forward with an update on the situation regarding Jesus Fortea and a possible contract renewal at Real Madrid.

As per the journalist, there will be no substantial news regarding the 17-year-old’s extension with Los Blancos until the end of the season.
The two parties will discuss the situation again in a few months to assess all options. But for now, there will be no significant developments on the matter.
Fortea is regarded as one of the best young full-backs in Spain. A precocious talent, Real Madrid broke their pact with Atletico Madrid to sign the teenager from their local rivals’ academy a couple of years ago.
This season, Fortea has been playing for Arbeloa’s Juvenil A side, while he has also featured five times for Real Madrid C.
Serie A newbies Como, who signed Nico Paz from Real Madrid last summer, have shown an interest in Fortea as well.
