Inter Milan and Newell’s Old Boys have reportedly struck a ‘verbal agreement’ for talented midfielder Tomas Perez.
According to TyC Sports via FCInterNews, the Italian giants will dish out €3 million plus add-ons to sign the 19-year-old.
Newell’s Old Boys president Ignacio Astore visited Milan today to finalize the deal with Inter.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri tried to complete a double swoop.
However, the Argentine side turned down Inter’s opening bid for Mateo Silvetti.
Despite that setback, the Serie A champions remain confident of landing the prodigious winger.
Indeed, negotiations are in ‘advanced stages,’ with Newell’s seeking around €10m to sanction the transfer.
Perez is now on the verge of penning a contract at Giuseppe Meazza.
However, we will not join Simone Inzaghi’s first team straight away.
Instead, Inter will send him out on a short-term loan to gain experience in European football.
Serie A minnows Como are reportedly in pole position to give Perez his first taste of Serie A action.
Indeed, Inter could use Perez as an excuse to open a dialogue for Nico Paz.
There’s no doubt the Nerazzurri will lodge a concrete offer for the former Real Madrid starlet at the end of the season.
