The 2024-25 season is fast approaching its end and FC Barcelona have only a few games left to play. The Catalans have 5 games remaining in La Liga, and can play another 2 games at most in the UEFA Champions League.

However, keeping in view the situation in these two competitions, the Blaugranes cannot lose any of these games, unless they are confirmed as league winners early.

Up to six Barcelona players unavailable for Real Valladolid clash

Thus, Hansi Flick would have to keep his team rotating to keep all the players, especially the starters, fresh and sharp. However, things have been getting difficult for the German coach, as several players have suffered injuries recently.

As things stand, Alejandro Balde, Robert Lewandowski, Marc Bernal, Marc Casado, Pablo Torre, and Jules Kounde are all unavailable due to physical problems for tonight’s game against Real Valladolid.

Coaching staff predicts the return of Marc Casado

However, one positive development for him in recent days was the surprising return of the midfielder Marc Casado to full training. But despite his early return to training, Mundo Deportivo reports that he will return to the pitch only when he meets the initial deadlines set for his recovery.

The La Masia graduate was set for a two-month spell on the sidelines when he suffered an injury in the game against Atletico Madrid on March 14th. Today, the coaching staff expects the midfielder to return to action in the derby against Espanyol, which is scheduled for May 15th, right two months after his injury.

However, this is only the forecast of the staff, and Hansi Flick can actually recall the midfielder for an earlier match or the player himself can convince the coach to bring forward his return to the pitch. For now, what is certain is that he will not be a part of the squad for the upcoming game against Inter Milan, while his presence in the El Clasico is also quite doubtful.
