On the eve of the first leg, however, a group of Porto supporters congregated outside the hotel where the Giallorossi squad stayed the night, and set off crackers and fireworks with the aim of disturbing the players’ and coaches’ sleep.
According to reports from forazroma.info, the disturbance occurred at around 3.00 in the morning, local time.
Similar incidents have already occurred this season. Roma’s were also paid a visit by opposition supporters in the middle of the night when they played away against IF Elfsborg in Sweden and against AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands.
