Nicolò Bertola has drawn the attention of several clubs during his breakout season, also because his contract expires in June 2025. He spoke about it and more to Il Secolo XIX (via Tuttomercatoweb).
“The team and my agents are looking for the best solution. They keep him informed, but it wouldn’t be correct for me to intervene. I’d like to stay until the end of the season to help out. There are many things that need to be settled. We’ll see. I’ll always be grateful toward Spezia, but I’m too young to discuss the renewal on my own. I hope they’ll come to a decision that makes everybody happy.”
Bertola has been linked to Inter, Juventus, Fiorentina, and Torino, Calciomercato informs.
“I receive a lot of stuff from my friends, which can only be pleasing. I wasn’t aware of a potential move to Venezia, but I think my representatives examined that. It’s nice to read about sides like those. The credit for my growth goes to the hard work and continuity, which allowed me to acquire confidence. Moreover, it has been accompanied by the burgeoning enthusiasm within the squad. We’re dreaming big.”
According to TuttoSport, Spezia offered Bertola a four-year contract with €400k wages, which would increase to €500k if they got promoted to Serie A. They dangled a relatively low €2.5M release clause. The parties haven’t reached an agreement at this stage.
Torino are making waves as of late and could sign him and leave him on loan to the Serie B outfit. However, Inter might have the inside track in that regard thanks to a solid relationship with the Aquilotti, where loanee Francesco Pio Esposito is thriving.
