Tailwind behind us as we face Sturm

The ADMIRAL Bundesliga could barely be more exciting at this stage of the season! Having gained ground on Austria Vienna with a 1-0 away win last week, we are now preparing to face league leaders SK Sturm Graz - with our aim being to cut the gap further on the league leaders.
We have the momentum behind us with our first win of 2025 taken against Austria Vienna, and we have gained one more point than the Graz outfit since the league restarted. Jürgen Säumel's side have not managed to meet their own lofty expectations since the winter break, but did return to winning ways with a 2-1 victory at home to BW Linz last weekend - after suffering a cup exit, being held 2-2 by Austria Vienna in the Bundesliga and losing 0-3 to WAC.
We dearly want to make up for the 0-5 defeat to Sturm earlier in the season with a win. The hat-trick hero that day, Mika Biereth, is now playing alongside Takumi Minamino at AS Monaco, while there has been plenty going on in Salzburg too since October – with both teams having a new coach.
We are unbeaten in seven league home clashes against SK Sturm (four wins and three draws) - which is a run we would love to keep going. It will definitely not be easy on Sunday, however, which is why we are counting on the support of every one of you from the stands! If you don't yet have a ticket, you can still secure your spot in our Online Ticket Shop.
Anyone not able to come to support us can follow proceedings from the Red Bull Arena on our live text updates. The clash can also be followed on TV on Sky Sport Austria, as well as OneFootball internationally.

It's an important match, of course, no question about it. It is always nice to test yourself against the best. Sturm are league leaders at the moment, and we are therefore looking forward to the clash. It is also one of three last matches in the regular season, in which we want to take as many points as possible to get into a good position for the championship group. We are looking very closely ahead of the match on what the opponents are doing. Mostly we are focused on ourselves and our own performance, however. It will therefore be important that we - as we did in Vienna - start the match well, play determinedly, play together as a team, give them little and become even more effective going forward.

We can take some things from our last match at Austria Vienna, as we performed superbly from the first minute to the last, and deservedly won. We want to perform like that on Saturday too. We know about the quality of Sturm Graz, as they are not top of the table for nothing. It is down to us though how we perform and what we make of that. Of course we want to win.
