The current feeling is AC Milan won’t sign Joao Felix on a permanent basis after his loan according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues paid £45m to bring Felix to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid last summer, and he penned a seven year contract.
Felix was signed as back-up for Cole Palmer in the number ten role, and only started three league games over the first half of the season.
However, Felix made the decision in January that he wanted a new challenge after just six months and he joined Italian giants AC Milan on loan.
The 25-year-old made a perfect start to life in Italy as he scored on his debut, whilst he expressed his desire to stay at the club beyond his loan if it was possible.
Despite a good start things have taken a downward turn for Felix in Milan and his performances have dropped, with local media highly critical of him.

Milan are currently struggling and are in danger of failing to qualify for the Champions League, with Felix finding himself on the bench for Sunday’s defeat to Lazio.
Chelsea look like they could have a problem on their hands with the Portuguese, and Romano has provided an update on Felix’s situation.
“The current feeling is that AC Milan will not continue with Joao Felix, internally it has not been what they expected,” he told his YouTube channel.
It’s really difficult for Milan, not only down to Joao, let’s wait for the new direction but they can’t imagine going to Chelsea and paying €40-45m.”

Reports claimed Enzo Maresca didn’t want to sign Felix, despite his insistence that he did and this transfer once again highlights the major flaws in the club’s transfer policy.
The Blues have been linked with Rafael Leao, and there’s a possibility they could use Felix as part of a deal for the winger, but it appears they will face difficulty in moving the attacker on.
