As we head into another international break, it’s a good time to pause and reflect on the season so far.

Which attacking players have raced out of the traps in 2024/25? We’ve looked at the five Premier League players with the most goal involvements so far this season.

The Premier League players with the most goals and assists in 2024/25 so far:

Nicolas Jackson – Chelsea (7)

Nicolas Jackson had his fair share of critics last season but the Senegalese striker is beginning to answer them this time around. Jackson has seven goal involvements in seven appearances for Chelsea, scoring four times and providing three assists.

Three of those contributions came in the 3-0 win at West Ham last month, as Jackson scored an early brace and set up Cole Palmer in a convincing derby win at the London Stadium.

Mohamed Salah – Liverpool (8)

Mohamed Salah perennially features on this list and has started the season in customarily productive form. Salah has four goals and four assists from seven league games, with the Egyptian continuing to shine as Liverpool’s chief creator and taker of chances.

The 33-year-old now has 231 goals and assists in the Premier League for Liverpool. Only five players – Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Harry Kane, Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard – have managed more for a single club.

Bukayo Saka – Arsenal (9)

Bukayo Saka leads the way in the race for the Premier League’s Playmaker of the Season award, having notched seven assists before October’s international break.

Arsenal have become the Premier League’s best set-piece team and Saka’s dangerous deliveries have been a big part of that. He’s added two goals alongside his league-leading assist tally.

Erling Haaland – Manchester City (10)

Erling Haaland has had a blistering start to his third season in the Premier League as the back-to-back Golden Boot winners looks to make it a hat-trick of leading scorer accolades.

The Norwegian has 10 goals from seven appearances, a return that includes successive hat-tricks against Ipswich Town and West Ham. Haaland, yet to register an assist this season, has scored 73 goals in 73 top-flight appearances in English football.

Cole Palmer – Chelsea (11)

Cole Palmer led the Premier League for goal involvements (33) in 2023/24 and is again the frontrunner after seven games.

The 22-year-old’s exceptional quality in the final third has again been on show, with Palmer having scored six times and laid on a further five assists.

His goal return includes scoring four first-half goals against Brighton last month, becoming the first player in Premier League history to score four goals before half-time. It was his second four-goal haul in just 40 league appearances for Chelsea, after achieving the feat against Everton last season.
