Manchester United are back in action this Sunday following an eight-day rest after their FA Cup advancement last week.

A controversial late winner by Harry Maguire saw the Reds progress to the fifth round of the competition at the end of a dull affair at Old Trafford.

Now, their attention can turn back to the Premier League, where Ruben Amorim and his men will be looking to seal a crucial win against fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur, having sustained a 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace last time out.

As a result, United enter matchweek 25 in 13th place, with a win over the weekend still not enough for them to break into the top half of the table. Still, they can but try.

With Spurs undergoing a debilitating injury crisis akin to United’s last season, Ange Postecoglou has likely spent the week sweating over his players’ availability.

Tottenham have spent recent matches doing their utmost to accommodate a lengthy absentee list, which has shown in their lacklustre performances and the fact they’ve claimed only one win in eight league matches.

The under-pressure Aussie is poised to welcome three first-teamers back ahead of hosting the Red Devils, though, as Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison and Destiny Udogie are all expected to be available for the 4.30pm kick-off.

Postecoglou also revealed in his pre-match press conference that Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson had been involved in team training, though the clash will come too soon for the former and potentially the latter.

He is confirmed to be without stalwart centre-half duo Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, along with Radu Dragisin, Dominic Solanke, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert.
