Thuram still not training with Inter as Juventus clash looms | OneFootball

Inter visit Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in just two days, but there are concerns that Marcus Thuram won’t be available as the France star hasn’t yet trained with the team this week.

Inter striker Thuram continues to train separately while his teammates prepare for a crucial Serie A match against Juventus on Sunday.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Thuram didn’t join his teammates for a training session on Friday and that the 27-year-old hasn’t yet trained with the rest of the team this week.

Thuram picked up a knock in his ankle in an away game at Fiorentina last week and was forced to be subbed off in a second meeting with the Tuscans on Monday.

Thuram strongly wants to play against Juventus, so the Nerazzurri hope he will ultimately be available, but if that won’t be the case, Mehdi Taremi will likely start in Turin as Marko Arnautovic is also not fully fit.

Inter’s rivals Juventus saw Andrea Cambiaso return to group training today, but the Bianconeri have lost Douglas Luiz to a muscle injury.

Thuram has made 32 appearances for Inter this season, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists.
