Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Southampton’s young talent Tyler Dibling in the summer transfer window.
Spurs have been monitoring his progress for a long time, and they could move for him in the summer, especially if the Saints go down to the Championship, which is a high possibility.
Southampton are rock bottom in the Premier League with just nine points, and they are dead cert to go down.
Tottenham have had a poor 2024/25 campaign, and Ange Postecoglou could delve into the market to bring some quality players of his choice.
According to Alex Crook of talkSPORT, Dibling is certain to leave the club if Southampton get relegated. He is out of contract in the summer of 2026, and several clubs are vying for his signature.
In England, Spurs could face competition from Newcastle and Aston Villa; both have made enquiries already. Bayern Munich are also interested in signing him.
Dibling has been enjoying a terrific campaign for the Saints. The versatile attacking midfielder has made 15 starts in the Premier League, and a further eight appearances have come from the bench.
The youngster has scored two goals already, and his vast potential has not gone unnoticed.
Southampton slapped a price tag in excess of £50 million for Dibling, but Daniel Levy feels that the price will go down if Southampton get relegated.
Dibling is an “outstanding” talent who is enjoying a breakthrough campaign, and he would be a smart addition to Tottenham.
Southampton have been trying to tie him down on a new deal, but the 19-year-old is unhappy with the offer presented to him.
