Not sure Son, at his age, and with his miles on the clock, playing just a few days before the Eintracht Frankfurt tie is completely optimal. Furthermore, Romero playing also feel like a risk. But let’s see.

Richarlison is back in the match day squad fo the first time since the Carabao Cup semi final second leg. Moore has been left out of the squad as a result, which feels like a shame. It is clear that, although this game in general is a dead rubber, Ange is clearly absolutely desperate to get a win of any kind on the board.

Meanwhile, Southampton manager Ivan Juric has tasked the following XI with trying to avoid unwanted history; Ramsdale; Walker-Peters, Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Manning; Aribo, Fernandes, Ugochukwu; Dibling, Archer, Sulemana.
