Virgil van Dijk tied Liverpool's club record for most wins in a player's first 50 Champions League games as the Reds saw off Lille on Tuesday.
Van Dijk played 90 minutes in the comfortable 2-1 win, which maintained Liverpool's 100% run of form in the Champions League this season.
It was his 50th appearance for Liverpool in the Champions League and the 35th time he has come out on the winning side, tying the previous record set by the legendary Phil Neal.
Neal, who is the most successful player in Liverpool history with a return of 23 trophies between 1974 and 1985, lifted four European Cups during his time at Anfield and currently sits seventh on the club's all-time appearance charts with 650 outings to his name.
Manager Arne Slot continues to be impressed by Van Dijk, whose expiring contract does not appear to be impacting his form on the pitch alongside Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
"The situation hasn't affected the group and in fact, only one of the players has had a poor performance this season and that was Trent versus [Manchester] United," Slot told Amazon Prime before the game.
"All the other games we've played, Virgil, Mo and Trent have always hit the standard or passed it."
