Inter will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Saturday evening, and while Simone Inzaghi will be hoping to get the job done in regular time, there is a possibility that the title is decided via a penalty shootout.
Here is who could take one if tonight’s final does go down to penalties.
Inter’s first-choice penalty taker is, and will be Hakan Calhanoglu. The Turkey international has an impressive record of 49 successful penalties from 55 attempts in his career to date, including 19 from 20 in Serie A.
However, Calhanoglu has only played the full 90 minutes in two of Inter’s 14 Champions League matches so far this season, which means it is not guaranteed that he will still be on the pitch if the final goes all the way to penalties.

If Calhanoglu is taken off, there is a chance of seeing Kristjan Asllani come on. The 23-year-old is also among the players who could take a spot kick if required, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Fellow midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has a record of 12 scored from 15 attempted, is also in line to take a penalty if the final goes to a penalty shootout, assuming that he is still on the pitch.
Mehdi Taremi, who is not expected to start, is also among Inter’s spot-kick specialists, with 59 scored and 10 missed across his career to date.

Lautaro Martinez, Francesco Acerbi, Piotr Zielinski and Nicola Zalewski are also likely to take penalties if they are on the pitch, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Pink Paper suggests that Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue are the most likely of the PSG players to take a penalty in a Champions League final shootout.
