Wolverhampton Wanderers have submitted a bid to sign Red Star Belgrade centre-back Nasser Djiga on the transfer deadline day.
Wolves moved out of the relegation zone after securing a massive 2-0 win against Aston Villa in the previous game.
Vitor Perreira needs more quality players in the side, and Wolves are looking to help with with funds to secure a few signings before Monday’s 11 pm deadline.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Wolves have made a bid in the region of £10 million for the Burkina Faso international.
Having conceded 52 goals in the Premier League already, Pereira has been adamant he would like the club to sign a centre-back before tonight’s deadline.
They were interested in signing Kevin Danso, but Tottenham hijacked their deal over the weekend.
Wolves are now working on a deal to sign Djiga. The 22-year-old centre-back joined Belgrade in the summer of 2023 from FC Basel. He has over 50 appearances for them in the past two seasons, and could now move to the Premier League on the deadline day.
Wolves are also hoping to bring in a midfielder on the Deadline Day. They have already signed Emmanuel Agbadou from Reims for a fee of around £16.6 million, and they are looking to bring another player from the same club before today’s deadline.
According to Foot Mercato, Wolves have made a bid for Stade de Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi.
