Tim Sherwood with some timely advice for Alexander Isak.
The former Tottenham and Blackburn midfielder talking amidst the endless media nonsense regarding the Newcastle United striker.
Tim Sherwood advising Alexander Isak that he “will never play in front of a better fanbase” than what he has now at St. James’ Park.
Sherwood adding that he thinks there is little chance of Newcastle United selling Isak in the foreseeable future.
That the only way that might come about is if Alexander Isak wanted to leave.
Even then, with the Sweden international still have currently three and a half years left on his existing NUFC contract, exactly what would a club have to pay to get Newcastle United to sell, if Isak did at any point want to leave.
Tim Sherwood talking about Alexander Isak to Discasino:
“Unless Alexander Isak says to the Newcastle owners that he wants to leave, I think it’s going to be very difficult for any club to sign him.
“It would need to be an unbelievable offer – but what does an unbelievable offer mean these days? £150m? £50m gets you an average player these days!
“For me, Isak will never play in front of a better fanbase that what he currently has at Newcastle.
“I speak to Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand who say the same thing – it’s difficult to find a better fanbase than what’s up there at St. James’ Park.
“He’s the absolute package at the moment with regards to his all-round game.
“He can dribble past players, comes into deep areas, and he can even score those scruffy goals from inside the six-yard box.
“He’s what every club is looking for at the moment and I think everyone now feels that he could produce some astonishing numbers this season.
“Having said that, Newcastle need to buy some players to try and get them back into the Champions League, which is where Isak belongs.
