This comes amid ongoing preparations for a return to action on Sunday.

Real Madrid are set to shift focus back towards matters on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés at Mendizorroza.

Fresh off another alarming defeat on the continent in midweek, Los Blancos are aware that nothing but a three-point haul will suffice tomorrow evening.

All of a Real persuasion will in turn no doubt be interested to hear of the latest developments behind the scenes at Valdebebas.

As revealed by club insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, David Alaba, after sitting out training over recent days with a fitness concern, was back in the thick of things in Spain’s capital this morning.

The Austrian should in turn be available to face Alavés.

Missing out once more at Valdebebas, on the other hand, were both Andriy Lunin and Ferland Mendy, ruled out for Sunday as a result.
