2 in, 2 out: Celta Vigo name squad for Atlético clash | OneFootball

The squad of players set to be depended upon by Celta Vigo for their upcoming showdown with Atlético Madrid has on Friday been unveiled online.

And it features noteworthy inclusions and exclusions alike.

When it comes to the former, stepping back into the fray are both midfielder Ilaix Moriba, and defender Carl Starfelt.

On the other hand, dropping out as a result of an injury blow is key midfielder Hugo Álvarez.

Also missing out once more, meanwhile, is defender Javier Manquillo.

Full-back Manquillo, as things stand, is due to see his contract terms at Balaídos come to a close in the summer, with little progress having been made in talks towards a renewal.

Boss Claudio Giráldez therefore appears to have come to the definitive decision not to depend on the former Newcastle United man moving forward.

Manquillo has now been left out of each of Celta Vigo’s last four matchday squads.
