Whether it be players being sold, players being released when their contracts end or even leaving by mutual consent, it's normal procedure for a number of players to depart each year.

Of course, there will be players that Luke Williams would love to keep at the club, while there will be others he'll be keen to offload, so it'll be interesting to see which players head for the Swansea.com Stadium exit door, both this month and in the summer.

With that in mind, we've taken a look at some of the players who could leave Swansea City this year.

Harry Darling

Centre-back Harry Darling is certainly a player Swansea City will want to keep, but at this moment in time it looks unlikely that they'll be able to convince him to remain in SA1.

Darling is out of contract at the end of the season, and Williams recently revealed that talks over a new deal would be put on hold until the end of the campaign, meaning he's at risk of leaving on a free transfer.

However, that's not the only way he could leave Swansea, as if the club think he may leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, they could look to cash in on him and sell him this month.

He's not short of options, with both Bristol City and Birmingham City keen to sign him, as per Darren Witcoop, and if an interested party submits an appropriate offer, then Swansea may have no option but to cash in.

It's not an ideal situation, but it's better than losing the 25-year-old for free at the end of the season, and Darling could well be a player who departs this year.

Kristian Pedersen

One of Michael Duff's signings from the now infamous summer 2023 transfer window, Danish international Kristian Pedersen appears to have no long-term future in south Wales.

The former Birmingham City man is out injured at the moment, not that too many Swansea supporters would have noticed given his lack of game time since joining the club.

Pedersen has played just a handful of Championship games for the Swans, all of which came in 2023, and he spent the second half of last season on loan at fellow Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current campaign, and it's a safe bet to assume he'll be released in the summer.

Pedersen's last Championship appearance for Swansea came in October 2023, and as one of the club's highest earners, as per Capology, they'll be looking to get his substantial estimated £18,000 a week wage off their books this summer.

Nathan Tjoe-A-On

Just like Pedersen, Nathan Tjoe-A-On signed for Swansea in the summer of 2023, and he's barely featured since making the move to SA1.

The Indonesian international didn't play a single game for the club last season, spending time on loan with Heerenveen in the Netherlands, and he's not fared much better during the current campaign.

The 23-year-old made a couple of early-season appearances in the EFL Cup, being taken off after a disappointing performance against Wycombe Wanderers in the second round, and he doesn't appear to have a future at the club, despite having another year on his deal.

Unless something drastic changes, Swansea will surely concede that Tjoe-A-On's move hasn't worked out and will try and move him on in 2025.
