Owing to the very high level that some of the starters in Hansi Flick’s FC Barcelona are showing this season, some substitutes are finding it very difficult to get any minutes, even in the latter stages of games.
This is particularly the case for a forward like Ansu Fati, who has not played a single minute for the last 11 games now.
Another player whose situation is better but still far from ideal is the midfielder Pablo Torre, who has played 12 of the total 37 games played by his team this season, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists.
However, he has not played even a minute in the last five matches against Atalanta, Alaves, Valencia, Sevilla, and Rayo Vallecano, and before that, he only played 12 minutes in the 7-1 win over Valencia in La Liga. His last start was in the Copa del Rey game against Barbastro.
Despite this shortage of minutes, Mundo Deportivo reports that the Spaniard has not given up on his intentions of convincing Hansi Flick to give him a more important role in the squad, and he is as sure that his time will come as he was in September.
The 21-year-old midfielder understands that there is a lot of competition for the three midfield spots in the team and he can get minutes only if he earns them in training. He is mentally ready for the challenge of convincing Flick, and his main tactic is to remain patient and wait for his chance to shine on the pitch.
His representatives have received several offers, including from the Premier League, but the young midfielder has no intentions of leaving Barcelona, and he only wants to stay, convinced that he will eventually succeed in earning Hansi Flick’s nod in the coming weeks or months.
