FC Barcelona are looking to strengthen their team by bringing in new players for several positions in the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, to be able to do so, they will have to sell some of their current players to generate the required salary space and funds to incorporate new players.
As a result, there are several players who are currently surplus to their requirements and are linked with moves away from the Catalan club, including the likes of Ansu Fati, Pablo Torre, and Andreas Christensen.
However, some other players can also end up leaving, and according to Fichajes, this is the case with the midfielder Fermin Lopez, whose signing is emerging as one of the main objectives for Atletico Madrid for the next summer.
Lopez has been quite clear that he wants to succeed at Barcelona. However, his prominence in the team has been declining, as Hansi Flick prefers both Dani Olmo and Gavi over him, and he is not starting a lot of games this season, and he knows he needs continuous game time at this point in his career to continue developing.

Meanwhile, Diego Simeone believes he will be an ideal addition to his team, particularly because of his aggressive pressing, physicality, and propensity to make his way into the opposition box and score goals. His versatility and ability to play in different midfield roles is also an attractive attribute for Simeone.
For now, the Colchoneros will be keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old Spanish midfielder’s situation to take advantage of any discontent that makes its way into the player’s mind.
However, it is not yet clear whether Barcelona will be open to parting ways with him. The Blaugranes consider him to be one of the important components of their team for the future but they also need to generate money, which can force them to sell him if a good offer arrives.
