Manchester United have had a frustrating Premier League campaign and they have picked up just 15 points after 11 games played.

The club have struggled in front of goal with just 12 goals. Three of those came in the victory over Leicester City before the international break.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have failed to score regularly and the latter is ‘very disappointed’ over his current situation, as per Calciomercato.

The Dutchman reportedly joined United under Erik ten Hag’s recommendation. The 54-year-old’s exit has brought uncertainty over his position at the club.

Zirkzee is open to a change of scenery at the beginning of next year. His agent Kia Joorabchian is now expected to play a key role in deciding his future.

Joorabchian has a good relationship with Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and Zirkzee has already been linked with the Bianconeri for some time.

Juventus may not afford more than a loan deal in January, but it is suggested that the Serie A giants could eventually pay £33-42 million to secure his transfer.

United could wait until the summer to make Zirkzee decision

Zirkzee had the perfect debut for the Red Devils. He scored a late winner off the bench in the Premier League curtain-raiser against Fulham at Old Trafford.

However, he has failed to score in his next 16 appearances where he has contributed two assists.

The 23-year-old has lost his starting spot to Hojlund due to his poor form. He has made appearances off the bench, but there has been barely any impact.

Zirkzee has failed to cope with the higher intensity and physicality of the English top-flight, but United could wait until the summer before deciding his future.

New manager Ruben Amorim could play him as a striker or an inverted forward in his 3-4-3 set-up.

If he is unable to make more goal contributions, United could contemplate his summer exit.
